Apex Legends Fans Have Come Up With A Novel Idea For A Wraith Buff

One Apex Legends fan comes up with a way to strengthen Wraith’s Passive as Respawn prepares to shake up the meta in the Evolution Collection Event.

Since the release of Apex Legends in 2019, Wraith has been one of the top Legends in the Battle Royale. Wraith is a popular choice for a variety of team configurations due to her formidable set of skills. Despite her combat prowess, some gamers believe that her talents may be enhanced.

Wraith, also known as an interdimensional skirmisher, has the ability to leap between dimensions during combat. Despite the fact that Respawn has nerfed the Legend multiple times since her release, she still possesses a powerful set of powers that players can use in combat. Her Tactical, Into the Void, allows her to flank adversaries for a limited period of time without taking damage, while her Ultimate, Dimensional Rift, allows her to move teammates by activating a portal.

While Wraith’s powers make her useful in both offensive and defensive situations, some players believe the devs are overlooking an opportunity to make her passive ability, Voices from the Void, more effective in combat.

ThatOneApexBot, a Twitter user, recently came up with a concept for strengthening Wraith’s Passive ability. When opponents are targeting Wraith players, Voices from the Void notifies them via a voice line. The ability, according to the Twitter user, is basically useless because the aural alarm does not provide visual input as to the enemy’s direction. They suggested that Respawn add a flash in the corner of the screen from the direction where the player is being targeted by an off-screen adversary.

A gameplay mechanic in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare inspired ThatOneApexBot to create the potential buff. High Alert is a perk from the military shooter that grants players increased combat awareness. When High Alert is on, a yellow outline appears on the player’s screen if an opponent targets them from outside their range of view.

This perk would be interesting to see adapted for Apex Legends, as it will provide Wraith players with a lot more information about the direction in which an opponent team is attacking. In addition, Seer, the game’s newest Legend, already has a comparable ability. When aiming down sights, his passive, Heart Seeker, offers a visual indicator that corresponds to the off-screen position of enemy movement and gunfire.

It’ll be fascinating to see whether the Wraith bonus makes its way into the game. Respawn is no stranger to taking fan feedback into account when making Battle Royale balancing modifications. The devs just stated that a new patch is coming to the game that would strengthen the defensive Legend Rampart while nerfing the reckless Octane. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they use this suggestion as inspiration.
