Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 Will Have A Blackout Map, Among Other Things

Activision has revealed that the Blackout map from Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be added to Call of Duty: Mobile. The map will be added to the Call of Duty: Mobile game as part of a new update on September 22. As part of the company’s celebration of the mobile game’s second anniversary, Call of Duty: Mobile Season 8 will begin on September 23 at 8 a.m. IST.

The business has also released a video on Twitter that provides us a sneak peek at the future upgrade. Activision will allow players to play the original Call of Duty Battle Royale map, Blackout, which debuted in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Blackout was the largest map ever in a Call of Duty game, combining elements from other multiplayer maps such as Estate, Nuketown, Construction Site, and others. The Battle Royale experience will also be improved as a result of the upgrade. As part of the Anniversary season, Activision has also revealed that a new tournament set on the Blackout map will be announced. Three new events are being launched by the company: an Anniversary Cake event, an Anniversary Puzzle event, and a new themed event called Counterattack.

Players will be able to unlock 50 new Battle Pass rewards tiers. Season 8 will feature new free and premium content, including new characters like Alias – Battleworn and Velikan – Volcanic Ash, as well as new functional weapons like the R9-0 shotgun, according to Activision.

Later in the season, other features like the M13 assault rifle, a new Scorestreak, Weapon Blueprints, Calling Cards, Charms, Call of Duty Points (CP), and more will be added to the game. The update will increase the game’s graphic quality, introduce a new weapon looting system, introduce a new health and armour system, and improve vehicle UI components. The Crash Map will be updated as well in Season 8.

Counterattack, a Limited Time Event, will introduce Non-Player Characters (NPCs) and PvE gameplay to Call of Duty: Mobile Battle Royale for the first time.
