With the release of Call of Duty: Vanguard Game just two months away, fans are asking for the return of the War game mode from CoD: WW2.
In less than two months, Call of Duty: Vanguard Game will be released, and many Call of Duty fans are looking forward to the next instalment in the wildly famous first-person shooter franchise. The beta for Call of Duty: Vanguard has begun for PS4 and PS5 users, giving fans a taste of what’s to come. As pleasant as the game is, it reminds gamers of a mode from another Call of Duty game set in World War 2 that they’d like to see return.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Game was created by Sledgehammer Games. Call of Duty: WW2 was the studio’s most recent product prior to the next COD game. Both games are set during World War II, and players remember the 2017 COD game fondly, thanks in part to a game mode called War. Fans of the series are now requesting that Sledgehammer bring it back for Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The War game mode in Call of Duty: WW2 was an objective mode in which players attacked or defended in specially prepared battlefields. Teams would be tasked with completing tasks such as constructing a bridge, placing charges and blowing up target sites, or even storm beaches, among other things. Teams would then work their way through a level, attempting to fulfil each objective while the opposing team tried to stop them. The style was well-liked and well-liked.
Sledgehammer was recently reminded of the mode by a Reddit user named emperor peter, who urged the developer to bring it back in Call of Duty: Vanguard, and many players agreed. One of the factors that contributed to the mode’s success was the fact that kill/death ratios were not factored into a player’s score, allowing them to focus solely on the objective and win. The mode, according to the post’s comments, is one of the best the franchise has ever made.
With Champion Hill, a smaller size and team-oriented mode, Call of Duty: Vanguard will get a new mode. While Gunfight is the competitive mode in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Champion Hill is the high-stakes competitive mode in Vanguard, there appear to be a large number of fans who would like to see the return of the large-scale battles of War, which feel right at home in the World War 2 setting.
